Provision Networkss Virtual Access Suite is a comprehensive framework that leverages the virtualised infrastructure to transform the physical desktop computer and its applications into on-demand virtual services.
More than a traditional connection broker, VAS empowers a hosted desktop infrastructure with extensive virtual machine (VM) management and monitoring capabilities, as well as a complete enterprise access and application delivery solution.
Provision Networkss VAS includes
- Virtual Access Broker: Highly scalable service responsible for VM pool management, status monitoring, fault management, policy enforcement and client connectivity arbitration.
- Access Infrastructure: Sophisticated access portal including the web interface and SSL gateway, enabling any PC or thin client to connect securely and access a VAS-enabled VDI.
- Enhanced End-User Experience and Last-Mile Features: Full desktop and application publishing, seamless windows, multi-monitor support, user profile management and universal print driver.
- End-Point Computing: On-demand access to VDI-based published desktops and applications using a web browser or the AppPortal client.
Various industry sectors, corporate enterprises and government face the similar challenge of delivering secure access and provisioning applications to authorised users with minimal client touch. They, along with public sector employees, health care workers, legal professionals and retails operators, among others, are able to ext and enhance their access infrastructure with VAS.
The benefits of a VAS-enabled VDI are numerous and include
- Centralised management: Corporate desktops adhering to organisational standards are always on and easily managed from a central location. This always on infrastructure means consistent and reliable access to full desktops or hosted applications is securely achieved and maintained.
- Resource optimisation: Eliminate the proliferation of high powered, less utilised PCs by hosting desktops in virtual machines on shared servers and dynamically manage these machines.
- Environment isolation: User environments are each contained in their own VM, eliminating any issues with applications that are not multi-user aware, while ensuring strict security.
- Service orientation: Deliver the highest service levels and service level agreements to users with instant provisioning recovery and issue resolution.
