![]() SYSDBA uses Cirba and Platespin to create a model of a customer's server estate in its data centres this provides a multi-dimensional insight into the configurations and workload characteristics of these servers. To achieve this using analytics, each server is effectively compared to every other server, where similarities, compatibilities and differences are identified and used to identify which candidates are best suited to consolidation and virtualisation which translates to the overall rationalisation and optimisation of the infrastructure. We bring the following significant advantages by employing tools and methodologies from CiRBA and Platespin to assess current datacenter environments and to build models that show the effectiveness of various consolidation strategies leading to an overall consolidated architecture that best meets a customer's consolidation goals. CiRBA powered analysis as it allows us to provide a common approach to consolidation across the entire base platforms, namely: Windows, Linux, AIX, and HPUX. CiRBA not only assesses the operating system, but also the databases, applications and business rules. |
